2023 Jeep Wrangler
The Jeep Wrangler is arguably one of the most traditional offroad vehicles on the market. Decades after its first release, the Wrangler seems to get younger by the day. The 2023 Wrangler has a huge lineup, with prices ranging from $43,790 to $112,140*. Comfort, safety, and hi-tech features are standard for all models. Here’s what you need to know about it.
Performance
There are three engines available for this lineup: a 2.0-litre I-4 Turbocharged, a 3.6-litre Pentastar VVT V6, and a 3.6-litre Pentastar with eTorque. The I-4 has an eight-speed automatic transmission and delivers 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque capacity. The combined fuel economy is 10.3 L / 100 km.
The Pentastar VVT has a six-speed manual transmission as standard, but the eTorque has the option for an eight-speed automatic. Both Pentastar engines have 285 horsepower and torque capacity of 260 lb-ft. The combined fuel efficiency is 11.8 L / 100 km.
Interior Design
Cloth seats are standard across the lineup, with a two-way lumbar adjustment for the driver’s seat. Basic trims come with premium-wrapped steering wheels. The air conditioning system is equipped with automatic filters and temperature control.
There’s no interior lighting for the Sport S and Willys trims, but LED ambient lighting is available for the Rubicon and higher trims. All trims have front floor mats and a full-length floor console with a storage tray. Rear head restraints are available only in the 4-door Sport S and above trims.
Exterior Design
All trims have three tow hooks, two on the front and one on the back. Power-heated exterior mirrors and fog lamps are also available for the entire lineup. Most models have a black Sunrider soft top, except for the 4-door Sahara, 4-door Sahara Altitude, 4-door Sahara High Altitude and Rubicon, which have a three-piece hard top. All models have a Trail Rated badge, which can vary in colour.
Tech and Safety Features
Basic models have a 7-inch touchscreen display equipped with Uconnect 4. The Rubicon and Sahara models have an 8.4-inch touchscreen display, and Uconnect 4 NAV. All models have an additional customizable 7-inch display for vehicle information.
Trims up to the 4-door Willys have an eight-speaker audio system, while higher trims have an Alpine Premium audio system. There’s also a one-year trial subscription for SiriusXM Guardian available for all except the entry-level trim.
There are plenty of standard safety features across the lineup, including an advanced airbag system, rear backup camera with ParkView, and an advanced brake assist. The Electronic Stability Control system includes driving assistants like electronic roll mitigation, traction control, hill start assist, and trailer sway control.
