How Did the Dodge Challenger Start?
In the late 1960s and early 1970s, the Muscle Car Wars were just getting started. Dodge introduced the Challenger platform for the 1970 model year as a response to high-performance platforms from the other two major automakers. Even back then, the Challenger was equipped with an array of large, high-output power plants.
