This subcompact crossover vehicle is available in five different trim levels, including Sport, Latitude, Limited, Altitude, and Trailhawk, that each has various configurations and add-ons available. Within these available trim levels, you can also upgrade to alternate styles, like Altitude or High Altitude, giving you even more features. The most basic of the trim levels is the Sport, which comes with 16-inch aluminum wheels. They equip the Latitude trim level with 18-inch wheels that are made of polished aluminum. These wheels feature pockets that are painted black to add depth to the design. When you choose the Altitude trim, you get the sleek and bold look of 18-inch aluminum wheels that are completely black to match the rest of the vehicle’s corresponding gloss black finishes. This includes a gloss black, sloping roof. Though the 2020 Compass Limited also comes with a gloss black roof, it has 19-inch aluminum wheels that are available in a gloss black finish. You can upgrade any 2020 Jeep Compass to have Bi-Xenon HID Headlamps that feature an LED strip for optimum illumination of the road ahead of you. You can also opt for a power liftgate that allows you to easily open the hatch from up to 66 feet away.

Every 2020 Jeep Compass is powered by a 2.4L four-cylinder 6A engine. Regardless of whether you choose front or all-wheel drive, you can enjoy an efficient fuel economy of 30 mpg.

Though there is the option to upgrade to a nine-speed automatic transmission, the Sport and Latitude trims come with a six-speed manual transmission that is available in front or all-wheel drive. When you opt for the all-wheel drive, you have access to a number of terrain-specific modes that adjust the amount of torque that goes to the wheels and change the amount of tire traction needed. These modes include snow, sand, and mud. In the Trailhawk model, there is an additional crawler gear that features a rock mode. This mode keeps the vehicle in first gear while directing the torque exclusively to the wheels that are able to find a grip.

With enough room to accommodate four adult passengers, the 2020 Jeep Compass combines comfort and functionality. The rear seats have 60/40 split-folding capabilities, giving ample cargo storage in the back of the vehicle. Additionally, all models come standard with dual-zone automatic temperature control, allowing the driver and the passenger to customize their climate.

There are quite a few safety features available for the 2020 Jeep Compass, including a variety of driver-assistance technology. Though none of these features come standard with the vehicle, you can upgrade to get:

  • Lane-keeping assist
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Automated emergency braking
  • Lane departure warnings
  • Full-speed forward-collision warning
