Following the tremendous success of the Fiat 500e for the 2025 model year, the Italian automaker’s small electric city car is making a strong return to the Canadian market as a 2026 model.
Its starting price sits at $42,290, including freight and preparation fees. Once all government rebates and incentive programs are applied, the price of the little electric city car drops to $29,290, making it the most affordable electric vehicle in the country.
The 2026 Fiat 500e isn’t just affordable, it also benefits from several small improvements along the way. The automaker has notably added a new exterior color called Miami Sunset.
Fiat has also made a major improvement when it comes to charging, as 2024 to 2026 Fiat 500e models are now compatible with the NACS connector, allowing them to use Tesla Superchargers. The Fiat 500e offers a fast-charging capacity of 85 kW, enabling it to recover 50 kilometres of range in less than five minutes or recharge up to 80% in just 35 minutes. Once fully charged, the Italian automaker’s small EV delivers a driving range of 227 kilometres thanks to its 42-kWh battery pack.
With 117 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, the 2026 Fiat 500e offers a dynamic and agile driving experience. It’s a surprisingly fun and enjoyable car to drive, especially in urban environments.
The 2026 Fiat 500e is truly one of a kind. It is available with an optional JBL sound system optimized by none other than Andrea Bocelli.
The 2026 Fiat 500e will be offered in Pop trim with a starting price of $39,995 and in Icona trim starting at $42,995. To those prices, buyers must add $2,195 in freight and preparation fees as well as an additional $100 air conditioning tax. The first units are expected to arrive at dealerships over the next few weeks.
