What Is the City of Red Deer, AB Famous for?

The city of Red Deer, Alberta offers a tremendous variety of amenities with the feel of country living. The Canyon Ski Area sits 9 kilometers east of town with multiple chair lifts and a variety of challenging runs. 3. The Alberta Sports Hall of Fame

Created in 1957 by the Alberta Amateur Athletic Union, the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame and Museum is an attraction that showcases the athletic achievements of Alberta’s greatest athletes. Originally established in Edmonton, the museum eventually came to settle in Red Deer in 1999. The museum features jerseys and equipment from famous athletes and even offers interactive displays and games including virtual baseball, basketball, football, hockey, and soccer. There’s also a climbing wall and a golf putting area.
